After Eren had joined the Survey Corps and was taken under Levi's wings, Auruo got slightly jealous at the shifter. He would think that Captain Levi was paying more attention to Eren and ignored the rest of his squad which only clearly proved that he was overreacting. Auruo started hating the shifter because of this and decided to plan a devious solution that would make the young brunette utterly unlikeable to Levi's eyes.

"Are you insane Auruo?!" A light ginger haired female yelled at Auruo, placing her small hands on her hips as she gave a glare to the man in front of her. "That is just wrong!"

The dirty-blonde haired man simply smirked and crossed his arms. "That kid is no good anyways he deserves it. It will be harmless to him I'm sure of it!"

Petra kept her glare on Auruo as her eyebrows twitched slightly in annoyance. "You're just jealous because the Captain spends a bit more time on the poor boy. You should just back off, Levi cares for all of us and is just helping Eren out."

Auruo simply scoffed and rolled his eyes. Maybe he shouldn't be jealous and worked up over Eren but the mere thought of the young male brunette being Levi's favorite scout would not go down with him. He looked down at Petra as he adjusted his cravat. "You believe in that kid too, huh? How sad... He's just a confused brat who's always messing things up." He shrugged.

Petra was completely done with Auruo's dumb reasons for hating the kid... And for imitating the Captain's tone of voice once again. She slapped him on the shoulder and angrily began walking away, even though she wanted to beat him up for saying those things she still had worked to do whether she was or wasn't Levi's "favorite" scout.

Auruo watched as she walked off and just chuckled before something, or more precisely, someone caught his attention through the corner of his eye.


"That kid...."


The moment he saw the young brunette standing there made him very angry, he got even more jealous seeing that he was talking to Levi. 'That damn little titan boy...'

"What are you doing Auruo?" A voice came from behind him, startling Auruo slightly as he jumped up a bit.

"It's nothing Eld... I was just making sure that Eren was around here since it's my job today to watch over him." Auruo lied. 'Oh I'm sure going to watch over him alright...'

"I thought it was Gunther's turn today." Eld said, crossing his hands while staring down at the other.

"The Captain told me to change roles and that I should watch him." Auruo stared up at Eld with a serious look. "You should probably tell him."

The two men just stared at each other for over a minute in complete silence, the only voices heard were those of Eren and Levi as they remained talking. To be honest, Eld would’ve actually start questioning Auruo if he were to say that in a slightly different name, but when someone uses Levi’s name he had lots of reasons to trust his words and listen to what the dirty-blonde had to say. Eld sighed, now believing everything Auruo had said. Uncrossing his arms, he nodded at the other man and started walking off.

"I'll be sure to tell him. Thanks for the information Auruo." The blonde man said before he disappeared through the halls.


For the next minutes, Auruo waited until the young brunette finished talking with the Captain as Levi gave the last bits of instructions to Eren. When they finished, Eren turned around to see Auruo standing in front of him.

"O-oh sorry Auruo! I didn't know you were there..." Eren said nervously, holding a broom in his hand as he was going to start cleaning some rooms as Levi had ordered him to do.

"Well you should watch where you're going kid. Anyways, Levi assigned me to watch over you today so you won't screw things up. So get to work brat." Auruo said as the young brunette teen nodded and turned around, rolling his eyes as the older man had tried to imitate his Captain again.


'This will be very easy.' Auruo thought, a small smirk forming on his lips.


For the next two to three hours, the brunette spent his entire time thoroughly cleaning all the rooms, making sure not to miss a single spot as Levi would then check Eren's work. Auruo always kept watching the brunette which made Eren slightly uncomfortable seeing as the older man always kept his gaze on the boy.

The brunette boy leaned against the wall as he placed the broom down and sighed, wiping his sweat off his forehead with his arm. "That was so much work..." He said quietly as his stomach started to growl very loudly causing the shifter to blush profusely and look down in embarrassment.

"Seems like you're very hungry." Auruo pointed out, looking down at the brunette's growling stomach.

"Y-yeah... Sorry." Eren looked back up and smiled sheepishly. "I'm starving!"

"Well the Captain told me that once you were done cleaning you had permission to go down to the pantry with me since he left some food for you to eat." Auruo smirked slightly as he said this, trying to sound as convincing as possible.

Eren's eyes widen and a small glint appeared in his teal green eyes. "Really?" He asked, this time his stomach growled even louder resembling that of an animal. He couldn't wait any longer to just fill his stomach with food. His growling belly was really telling him to go with Auruo and eat.

Auruo nodded his head and adjusted his cravat. "Want to go now brat?" He smirked.

Eren quickly nodded while his stomach did the talking and growled even louder this time. "Y-yes..."

Auruo stood up from his seat and simply told Eren to follow him to the pantry where the older man would start his sabotage plan. Eren, seeing nothing suspicious and trusting his new comrades, followed the older man.


Finally.... Everything is going according to Auruo's plan and in no time, he will be the favorite once again.
